Renovation Help

Requiring some renovation help is nothing to be ashamed of. It isn't just something that is thrown together over night and you wake up and "BAM" it's all done and beautiful. These things take planning, a budget, and experts to ensure the best possible outcome for you and your family.

There is a difference when someone has tried to throw something together without the proper material or knowledge. It costs more time and money to fix all the problems that come with a renovation "gone wrong".

You know that commercial "call before you dig" Well, same thing applies. Get the facts before you give the go ahead to just anyone. Get yourself a quote from reputable people. Read their testimonials, review their website, get recommendations, look at their work they have done before.

There are certain specs that need to be done to code in order to enure the safety of your family. Don't let just anyone run your project, cheaping out doesn't get you anywhere but back to the bank for more money.

Having piece of mind is vital with a reno. It already sucks if your living right smack in the middle of all of it. So why would you even consider someone put you through more unecessary time. Getting it done right the first time and moving into that transition with ease is a way better feeling then stressing, spending, and living in disaster. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.

Christmas Decorating

It’s December and time to get all your Christmas Decorating complete!! Bringing the spirit of Christmas home makes everyone feel festive. Include your kids as much as they want to be involved, it can be such a great family night.
Everyone has their own colors that they love, so why not use the colors that make you feel warm and festive, it’s your home, be creative, break some rules, and have some fun!!!

Can’t find the perfect thing to go with your décor? Then make it!!! Just use your imagination and be creative, see what you have to work with perhaps before you go shopping.

Pillows, nutcrackers, window decals, Advent calendars are all great way to involve your kids, let them help with the tree!! Get them to write a letter to Santa, watch their eyes light up and sparkle, Christmas really is so magical.

Don’t forget about outside, have you looked around and enjoyed some of the great colors and decorations on other people’s houses? It’s so bright and festive out there. My street has so many pretty lights and décor, makes me smile every time I drive by.

You don’t have to break the bank to get into decorating.  Shop around there are so many different things out there at such a great price and you can always tweak it. Home Sense, Micheals, Urban Barn, Urban Home, Parkland Nurseries….and many many more are great places to look.  There are deals out there you just have to shop around, and if you want, buy after Christmas for next year, because everything goes on SALE!!! Micheals has an app, you can get coupons all the time and they scan the bar code right off your phone.

It's fun to decorate your home for Christmas, and involving your family really makes for a great festive season!!! Merry Christmas, and happy holidays to all.

Festival of Homes

I decorated a home again this year for Festival of Homes, money raised goes to the food bank. Christmas is all about helping those in need, and I feel so warm inside every time I do something.  It is a sense of fulfillment,  and an inspiration to see how many nice giving people are still out there. I am really looking forward to this event, and I thank Royal LePage for asking me to be a part of it.

Wishing everyone a safe and fantastic christmas season this year. I am so in the spirit with festival of trees and festival of homes, I can't wait to actually decorate my own place!!!
