Why color is so important

Color is a vital piece of the design process, as it can instantly transform a room. White walls are screaming to be "dipped" in color because they weren't meant to be white. How do you feel when you try and enjoy a space that is so blahhhh and boring? Doesn't it make you feel anxious and cold??? Don't you find that you have a hard time even coming home to relax??? Color always sets the mood and tone of a room. Lighter colors can really refresh and open up a space.

Darker, bolder colors can really add a touch of romance. We work so hard in our day to day lives, wouldn't it be great to come home to your lover and have a really warm and inviting room that the two of you share, where you both can feel powerful and romantic? This is your sanctuary, the one room in the house that is your very own. Why not have a warm and inviting bedroom that the two of you can really feel the LOVE in.

Now, imagine if the walls were white in this picture, it would look pretty boring wouldn't you say. With the walls dipped in color in this room, you can really feel the warmth of this space, it is really inviting wouldn't you say? What a great feeling you would have when sitting and visiting with your friends over dinner and wine!!!!

Children LOVE color. Have you ever watched a child with a box of crayons? Truly amazing wouldn't you say??? They have such a creative mind, and they are so full of energy!!!! We could learn a thing or two from our kids. Like "Don't take life so seriously" Keep their creative minds flowing by adding color to their rooms.....the crayon marks on the wall are not the ones I am talking about hahahaha! In that case make sure to have an easel or paint a portion of the wall with chalkboard paint so they can still express themselves but in a safer way for you.

As I mentioned before color is vital....without it the room just feels like a box. If you really want your home to reflect you, then you need to make it shine! Your energy will be uplifted, your heart will be warmed. Your friends and family will be so pumped to come for their regular visits because they will feel the love and energy surrounding you and your space.
